I had my wedding at The Woodlands this past Saturday 12/12. I was by far the most amazing day I could have ever imagined. From the moment my husband and I saw the Woodlands, we knew this was the only place for our wedding. With all of the fireplaces and the intimate setting, since you are the only event happening at the time, it was the perfect spot for a winter wedding. Since our day wound up being 60 degrees, the day of, we were asked if we wanted to move half of our cocktail hour outside on the patio with the fire heaters. It was the best decision and all of our guests loved it! We had the grand doors on the dance floor open all night leading out to the other patio where there were more fire pits. Everyone at the Woodlands was more than accommodating. My bridal attendant Erika was AMAZING. From brushing the hair off my face to putting a drink in my hand, she made our day that much more special and perfect. She was always around and worked her butt off. She decorated the mansion exactly how I had asked and went above and beyond for me. The maitre d, Luis, was just as amazing. From our first meeting to picking out the menu and finalizing everything, he bent over backwards for us and helped the show run so smoothly, and I am not always the easiest to please. Our guests raved about the food, the grounds, the location, and the staff. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Woodlands!

The mother day brunch was awful. Food was cold no plates no customer service. I'd give zero stars! Avoid avoid avoid

Stay away! Terrible place for a wedding or any event for that matter. While the company was great, the venue was not. There were no signs directing the guests to the valet parking. The staff was rude and most of them didn't speak English, making it hard to communicate. One bartender refused to give me a drink of water - he said, "No I'm closed." The food at the cocktail hour was just okay, nothing spectacular. At dinner the waitress asked if I wanted filet mignone, sea bass or chicken breast. I asked how the sea bass and chicken was prepared, she did not know. I opted for the filet, which was NOT a filet, it was a grisly, fat encrusted sirloin plopped on top of a pile of instant mashed potatoes. My dining companion got the sea bass, which tasted more like talipia than sea bass.

The desert tables were set up on one side of the dining room. So those of us on the opposite side had to either walk outside of the room, down the hallway and in the other door, or walk across the dance floor and weave between the tables.

The air conditioning only worked on one side of the room - not my side and it was hot. Most of the guests were literally dripping. The lights didn't work either so we ate in the dark.

Back to the bartenders, they were using 2 liter soda bottles to mix drinks, then they were reusing them to serve water! The wine was clearly watered down, so I switched to vodka, they served from a grey goose bottle. It was NOT grey goose.

While the setting is wonderful, that's all this place has going for it.

This place was horrible! If i could give it 0 stars I would! I had an appointment set up to view the grounds for my upcoming wedding. We were coming from a previous appointment and were running a few minutes late. When I called to inform them of this, they had no idea we were even coming at all and had no record of our appointment. In fact, they were giving us such a hard time that i had to go back into my voicemail and play the message someone left confirming my appointment for them to even allow us to still come. Since we made the trip out we decided to see what they had to offer. The bridal suite they showed us was unkempt and filthy and had a dirty plate of food still in there. They only had 2 stall bathrooms that you would see in a high school and one was out of order AND they were supposedly getting ready for a wedding that night?! The person who was supposed to meet with us never showed up and we waited for over an hour! They kept telling us that she was on her way, and then was in the parking lot when I'm pretty sure last time i checked it doesn't take an hour to park your car! So we were basically lied to. Then, they had us sit in a room where they were trying to throw anyone they could think of at us to "buy time" for the sales rep to show up. And by "throw" I mean have the cook stand in the room and ask us if we had any questions. Then, a few days later i received a call from the "manager" who apologized about our experience at first, but then when he was trying to convince me to make another appointment and i refused, he started a full blown argument with me about what great reviews they get all the time and how professional they are , after the experience we had was he kidding? I was so dumbfounded and frustrated by the fact that he was so adamantly continuing to argue with me that I actually hung up on him. We had such a horrible experience just trying to view this place that I would NEVER trust them with the professionalism and dependability that goes along with hosting a wedding. Needless to say i deter everyone and anyone i know who is getting married from booking this place!!!
